Raleigh Host Lions Club
Established in 1922, the Raleigh Host Lions Club was the second Lions Club in North Carolina. We remain the largest Lions Club and the largest service organization in North Carolina. The Club meets weekly for lunch on Mondays and maintains an active committee roster with oversight of the committee work performed by the active three Vice-Presidents.
A variety of community projects as well as contributions to the North Carolina Lions Foundation are funded partially or in their entirety through the service work of the Raleigh Host Lions Club. Club projects include:
- North Carolina State Championship Charity Horse Show
- Bryce Younts Charity Golf Tournament
- Broom Sales
- Gum Ball Machines
- Gifts from community partners
The Raleigh Host Lions Club prides itself in fulfilling the Lions Motto: “We Serve”. The camaraderie of the Club and the dedication of the work performed by the Club signify the value of Lions Clubs within a community.
