We distributed the 2011 version of our popular Rehoboth Beach telephone directory to many thousands of Rehoboth Beach homes. Thanks to all the Rehoboth Beach area businesses who make this directory possible by advertising in the directory. The proceeds from this project are used for the many Lions Club charitable activities.

We will sponsor a pancake breakfast for the public at Applebee's in Rehoboth Beach on Saturday, February 18th from 8 AM to 10 AM.

We participated in Coast Day activities by selling soft drinks and water.

In September, five Rehoboth Beach Lions participated with other service organizations in preparing a hamburger and hot dog lunch for the Special Olympics of Delaware fishing event at the Cape Henlopen State Park fishing pier.

We continue to be a monthly sponsor of Poker at the Beach in Rehoboth Beach.

Over the past few months, trained Rehoboth Beach Lions used a sophisticated digital device to conduct vision screenings of 171 pre-school children. The screenings are very effective at detecting amblyopia, or "lazy eye".

Rehoboth Beach Lions provided 75 gallons of free hot chocolate to participants and spectators for the annual Polar Bear Plunge on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk on Sunday, February 5th.

Two of our Lions have participated with the combined efforts of other Lions Clubs in the area to build wheelchair ramps for needy families.

Food baskets were prepared for needy families during the holiday season.

We continue to provide support for needy local families by providing eyeglasses, hearing aids, and loans of wheelchairs and other ambulatory equipment.
