The Sag Harbor Lions meet:

  • Membership meetings are on the 4th Wednesday of every month at The American Hotel 6:30 pm social, 7:00 pm Call to Order. $35 pp prix fixe dinner.
  • Directors meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at various venues in Sag Harbor. 6:30 pm. See our calendar for locations.

Lions Clubs International Purpose

To Organize, charter and supervise service clubs to be known as Lions clubs. 

To Coordinate the activities and standardize the administration of Lions clubs. 

To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. 

To Promote the principles of good government and good citizenship. 

To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. 

To Unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding. 

To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members. 

To Encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

Our History: 62 Years and Going Strong

Chartered 1954

2014 marked the 60th anniversary of the Sag Harbor Lions Club's charter, which was granted on January 1954, was signed by the following Lions:

Edward James, Theodore Proferes, Daniel McLain, Walter Brumoff, James Crosson, W. Deering Yardley, Sr., Fred Ramhorst, Donald Brett, William F. McFane, Phil Harby, R. K. Tellbrooke, Stuart A. Miller, Alan York, Kenneth Thommen, John Goloski, William H. Nolan, Joseph Nolan, Robert H. Wagner, Edward L. King.

The members who signed this document, as well as the generations of other members though the past seven decades have proudly stated
