Looking to expand the reach of Lions Clubs in the Truckee Meadows, Past International Director Vince Vinella set out in the summer of 2007, going door-to-door, engaging business owners and workers alike about the opportunity to serve their community.

Good fellowship is an important part of our Lions Club and each year a variety of activities are planned. The Club participates in the City of Sparks Adopt-a-Park Program; supports the local Ronald McDonald House, providing dinner on the first Sunday of every other month and provides support to the Salvation Army by ringing the bell at Christmas time. We also support many District 46 Projects, such as Camp Dat-So-La-Lee, the District 46 Student Speakers Contest, Lions Project for Canine Companions, Lions Eye Foundation, Lions Flag Day and the Washoe County Sight Conservation Committee, to name a few.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
