Support Star Teachers

The Star Lions Club is launching a new program to support our local teachers and students at Star Elementary School and Star Middle School. Teachers may submit an application each month requesting funding for a classroom projects.  A $200 cash award will be given each month through April for one deserving project. Teachers may apply by submitting an online form due by the 20th of the month. The winning project will be chosen at the Lions club meeting and awards will be made by the end of the month. We Can Make a Difference Canned Food Sculpture Competition

The Star Lions Club invites the communtiy to participate in a food drive benefiting the Star Outreach Food Bank. The months after the holidays find the shelves bare at the bood bank but the need for nutritious food doesn't end after Christmas. To increase the amount of food donated in January and February, the Star Lions are holding a canned and boxed food sculpture competition.

Any organization, business, church, or group of any kind can form a team and participate by collecting food and building a display or sculpture. The sculpture may be built an any location and photographed for judging. Click here for registration and rules. Deadline to enter and submit photos is February 8.
