Easter Bunny Visit to Beaver Lake Lions Park

The Easter Bunny loves to stop by to visit the boys and girls in the Stone Mills area.  He always brings goodies, takes the time for a visit and pictures, and the Lions Club serves sweets and hot chocolate.

Canada Day

Tamworth & District Lions Club has a long history of supporting the Canada Day Committee by running the annual BBQ at the Ball Park in Tamworth.  All funds raised at the event are donated to the Canada Day Committee to fund future Canada Day celebrations.

Kids Fishing Derby

The Annual Kids Fishing Day is held the first Saturday following Canada Day.  Children aged 0 – 12 are invited to participate in this fun filled morning at The Lions Beaver Lake Park.  At registration each child that requires will receive worms, and can borrow a fishing rod (depending on availability). The Lions Club serves up a BBQ lunch that everyone (parents included) will enjoy.  Although the bbq is free of charge, donations are accepted. There is a draw for prizes at the end of the morning, and all children who register receive a prize. The Club receives donations of prizes and money for this event from various local sponsors. For more information on the event, or being a sponsor contact Debbie at 613-388-2444 or ldhowell@xplornet.ca

Stone MIlls Family Festival

This family friendly event is held in a different community in Stone Mills, annually.   In past years hundreds of people participated in games, a vendors market, bbq,  silent auction, learning circles, fire awareness put on by Stone Mills Fire Department, and watched hours of great live entertainment.

Santa's Visit and Store

Santa and Mrs. Claus stop by Tamworth annually to visit with the children, collect letters, have a visit, take photos, and Santa always brings a bag of sweets for the kids.  Santa's elves work hard all year collecting gifts for the boys and girls to purchase for their parents, grandparents, and siblings.
