FLAGS FOR HEROES 2022

 

The Weirton Lions Club, in collaboration with American Legion Post 10, recognizes the tremendous sacrifices our military heroes have made to keep us safe and free.  Flags for Heroes is a fundraising event that will provide a breathtaking display of American flags to celebrate those heroes, both past and present.

An American flag will be placed, in their honor, based upon donations received from community members, businesses and non-profits.  A $50.00 donation sponsors a flag for Memorial Day, July 4th,  and Veterans Day 2022. Flags will be on display at the Veteran’s Memorial located near Walmart on 3 Springs Drive.  Each flag will have a personalized, commemorative tag attached with the honoree’s name, that will hang from the flag pole until the conclusion of the season (after Veterans Day), then the tag will be mailed to the sponsor.  All proceeds benefit Weirton Lions Club Community projects.

Please make your $50.00 donation payable to Weirton Lions Club and indicate “flags” on memo line. 

If you wish to sponsor additional flags, you may write one check. 

We will be offering those who previously sponsored a flag, a reduced rate ($30.00/flag).
