OFFICIAL MINUTES OF REGULAR CLUB MEETINGS
The regular meeting of the _____Altura____________________ Lions Club was called to order on Monday, February 2, 2026 by President Bridget Gibbs__________________________
at ___6:30 p.m. at the ___Altura Community Center with those members in attendance as shown on the Attendance Record and Guest Register.

President Bridget Gibbs called the meeting to order with the pledge of allegiance.
Joe Schlichenmeyer made a motion to approve the agenda, Nathan Gibbs seconded. Motion carried.
The secretary’s report of the meeting of January 5, 2026 was read. Phil Schwantz made a motion to approve, Dale Moger seconded, motion carried,
The treasurer’s report was read. Joe Schlichenmeyer made a motion to approve, Marlene Spencer seconded, motion carried.

Old Business:
Thank you notes were received from the Hometown Resource Center Food Shelf for our donation of $500, MN Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation and Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation for our donation of $100 to each for the Parade of Green, and Bill and Rhonda Schell for the money to help with cancer treatment expenses.
1st District Governor Pat thanked those who helped with the registration and other duties at the Mid-Winter Convention. She reported the meeting was fantastic, larger than in 2025, and that next year the convention will be at the same location but will likely be the first weekend of February.
Fly-the Flag program was reviewed. Phil Kalmes had available the kit we could order. We will have information available at the spaghetti supper to see if there are community members who would like us to display a flag for them during the 6 holidays. Sandy Schwantz made a motion that we charge $50/year, Nathan Gibbs seconded, motion carried.
New Business
A request was received from the Post Prom Committee requesting a donation for the after prom party. Marlene Spencer made a motion that we send $100, Sandy Schwantz seconded, motion carried..
2nd Vice District Governor John Steffel asked if the club would be in favor of participating with perhaps 2 or 3 other clubs to put together more hygiene bags. The club would be interesting in helping with this as they are needed.
Thank you to Joe and Pat Schlichenmeyer for providing cupcakes for us to help celebrate their wedding anniversary.
