DECEMBER, '15 OFFICIAL MINUTES OF REGULAR CLUB MEETING
The regular meeting of the _____Altura____________________ Lions Club was called to order on Monday, September 8, 2025 by President Bridget Gibbs_______________ at ___6:30 p.m. at the ___Taqueria el Lunar with those members in attendance as shown on the Attendance Record and Guest Register.

President Bridget Gibbs called the meeting to order with the pledge of allegiance.
Cheryl Lovlien made a motion to approve the agenda, John Meisch seconded, motion carried.
The secretary’s report of the meeting of July 7, 2025 was read. Cheryl Lovlien made a motion to approve, Mike Lovlien seconded, motion carried.
The treasurer’s report was read. Mike Lovlien made a motion to approve, David Schwantz seconded, motion carried.

Communications:
Thank you note from Claire Rupprecht for her scholarship was received.
Congratulatory letter from Dr. Patti Hill, Immediate Past International President was received for earning the $100 per member average banner patch recognizing our club’s cumulative support of LCIF in 2024-2025.
Old Business:
A detailed report of the results of our chicken Q was available. The net profit was $1994.37. In addition, there was an anonymous donation of $2000 for a total of $3994.37
Joe and Pat Schlichenmeyer were able to check in on Jungle Days in August and reported there were 23 groups of four golfers. Pat presented district governor pins to the current officers.
New Business:
Region 1 meeting is scheduled for September 30 at the Plainview Legion. Pat and Joe will attend. If anyone else can attend, please contact me.
Cheryl Lovlien has confirmed that we do have a Facebook page and members will be sent the link to add pictures or other information. Cheryl also volunteered to post items on Club’s webpage.
Roadside cleanup date was tabled until the October meeting.
At the Mid-Winter Convention, in January, the Club will be able to advertise the spaghetti dinner. We will discuss at the November meeting. We will discuss at that time as well the helpers that Pat will need Friday night 5-9, and Saturday 8-5.
Marlene Spencer nominated David Schwantz for the Everyday Hero Award to be presented at the Mid-Winter Convention. Yvonne Ruhoff seconded, motion carried.
Joe Schlichenmeyer is not sure of the help he will have for the Project New Hope gathering at Good Earth Village in Spring Valley on October 4. He is in need of people who can help with the kid’s games. He will also bring this up at the Region meeting September 30.
There were no medical needs at this time.
