Health and Wellness is one among the top priorities of the Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization. 
 
The need to advocate a healthy lifestyle, inorder to prevent and alleviate some illnesses in our community is greater than ever.
 
The following are the health and wellness activities of BLC :
 
1. "STRIDES" Lions Walk for Diabetes Awareness 
 
2. Lectures / Symposia on Diabetes
 
3. Free Diabetic Screening
 
4. Medical / Surgical and Dental Missions
 
5. Free Cataract Screening and Cardio-Pulmonary Clearance prior to Free Cataract Extraction for Indigent patients.
 
6. Information Drives (Dengue Awareness/Malaria/Tuberculosis/etc)

BLC Initiates Strides : Lions' Walk for Diabetes Awareness / Diabetes Lecture / Diabetes Screening (November 2011)
 
This Service Activity of the Baggao Lions Club includes a 30 minute walk around San Jose Baggao, followed by a lay lecture " Ikaw at ang Diabetes" by the 2nd Vice President of Baggao Lions Club, Dr. Lion Danilo Alejandro and Blood Sugar Test. The lecturer was bombarded with many questions and clarifications by the active participants and were excellently answered by Lion Danilo Alejandro (a give away was also given to those who participated). Random Blood Sugar testing followed after the Q&A then upon exit, many freebies, give aways and a simple snack was distributed by generous medical representatives from selected drug companies.
It was again a successful event where a total of 172 participants were served
 
 
 
JOINT MUSTIDISCIPLINARY MISSION IN BAGGAO (November 2011)
 
A Multidisciplinary Medical Mission was held in San Jose, Baggao, Cagayan last November 12, 2011 participated by the Baggao Lions Club, Candon City Lions
Club, Cagayan North Lions Club, Kalinga Lions Club, Claveria Metro Lions Club, CSU Andrews Campus Club. and the Provincial Government of Cagayan. It
was a well-attended activity by most members of the Lions Clubs previously stated, as well as the representatives from the Provincial government and some
from the LGU.
Services were Medical, Surgical. Dental. Refractometry, Free Medicines were given and distribution of eyeglasses was also done.
