Belwood Lions completes the Centennial Parkette
Belwood Lions have created a Centenial parkette facing Belwood Lake behind Belwood Hall. Constructed by the late Lion Elwin May and Belwood Lions, the area contains memorial benches to Lions Passed. It serves as a place of peace and contemplation for the surrounding community. Plaques recognize the project as the One Hundred Centenary of Lions in Canada, as well as of Elwin’s work in fabricating the many other memorial benches in Belwood park and along the Elora Cataract Trail and surrounding villages.

These students were to be going onto the Lions District competition on March 28th in St. George, however unfortunately due to teachers contract discussions and more recently Covid-19 concerns, this competition has been cancelled for 2020 / 2021
That is of course not to take away from the achievement of these students in being recognized in their school competition.
