Spectacle Recycling Project

The Lions Organisation as a whole has a long, recorded and distinguished assosiation with sightedness, with our organisation often referred to as Knights of the Blind.

The Bert Mason Internet Club recently secured an arrangement with a local High Street Spectacle Retailer, whereby any unwanted or unsuitable spectacles are collected by our local representative for boxing and shipping to the hub, run by our friends at Chichester Lions Club.  Here they are further sorted and then shipped to areas of the world where such items are either impossible or extortionate to obtain.
