The Boone Lions are in their 85th year of serving the community. Boone Lions provide vision and hearing screenings, support those in need of eye exams and vision correction, and collect and distribute eye glasses and hearing aids for distribution to those in need world wide.  The Boone Lions sponsor a local Red Cross Blood Drive, the Cub Scouts, a youth baseball team, and (through financial support of local Boone businesses), raise the American Flag along Boone streets on national holidays. In 2022 Flags will be raised on May 21, May 30, June 14, July 4,  September 5, October 10 and Nov. 11

Boone Lions Attendeded the November 6, 2021 NC Lions District 31-I Annual Convention

It was a great array of Lions, displays of what the NC Lions have been doing even during the pandemic to serve their communities, contribute to vision research, offer free vision screenings and support and assist the Vision Impaired, and provided eye exams and glasses for those in need.

July 24.2021 at the District 31- I cabinet awards and officer installation Betsy received the Best Secretary award from the 90+ Lions clubs in our district.

Lions Vision Van 2013The Lions Mobile Vision and Hearing Screening unit was at the Watauga Agriculture Center in Boone, June 19th from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to provide free vision and hearing screening for adults and children and we are so proud of all the volunteer help we had from Boone Optical establishment. 
Boone Lions Hoist the Flags in Boone Once Again in 2021

On Saturday May 15, 2021 the lions will once again began a year of posting the American Flag all around Boone, NC . This is just a few of the 115 flags that Boone Lions will post on the 7 major National Holidays.

COVID19 NOTE: UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE The Lions will NOT meet at Noon the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at the Sagebrush Steakhouse for lunch, fellowship and a brief business meeting. Once meetings are resumed, all are welcome to come, be our guest and see what Lions are all about and hopefully join us and become a fellow Lion.
