Changing Lives, One Pair at a Time

In just about any dresser drawer, one can find a pair of eyeglasses that are no longer being used. That same pair of eyeglasses can change another person's life.

Lions Recycle for Sight

Pile of used eyeglassesThat's why Lions Clubs International started the SightFirst Campaign .  Everyone can help.

Throughout the year, Lions/Lioness in our Buffalo club collect used eyeglasses through a network of eyeglass collection boxes throughtout Buffalo. The glasses are counted and then delivered to the MN Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC) in Sauk Rapids MN. Sauk Rapids lions will pre-sort glasses into adult, sun, kids & readers and put them into like sized boxes at our LERC collection site. They will then be delivered to a regional recycling center in Rosholt, WI and further sorted by Rx, type and size which can then be used by lions or other groups for mission trips giving sight to those with Vision needs.
