Burrillville Lions Club

Chartered April 17, 1947

Welcome to Burrillville Lions Club. Lions are dedicated to service to our club, community, nation and the world. Burrillville Lions are a happy fun loving, service-minded group of people who are ready to assist you in finding a rewarding experience in Lionism.

We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday evenings at Uncle Ronnie’s, 2692 Victory Highway, Nasonville, RI 02830. Social time at 6:30 PM with meeting starting promptly at 7 PM and is over no later than 9 PM. The meeting consists of Lionism and fellowship, information on completed and upcoming activities and projects, and sometimes with programs of interest to all. Meal consists of choice of the menu – a variety of excellent dishes prepared by the chefs at Uncle Ronnie’s.

The business activities of the Club are handled by the Board of Directors and Finance Committee at one of our monthly evening meetings. There are NO secrets in our club or organization. Any member is welcome at our board meetings, budget meetings or committee meetings. Like many things in life, you will find the more time and effort you invest, the greater your reward. Get involved! Our goal is for you to progress from being a member to becoming a Lion!

We are aware not everyone has the time to jump right in and get heavily involved from the very beginning. Each of us has commitments to family and work. Time for family and work should always come first! But one of the beauties of the Burrillville Lions is that we have a number of activities for you to choose.

Along your path to becoming a “Lion” you will have opportunities to develop organizational, leadership and communication skills and to better understand your fellow man. These skills can be helpful in your career and personal life. We will assist you in reaching your goals. But the journey and the decision to travel, is entirely yours.

"We Serve."

For it is service above all else that sets Lions apart, whether that service is provided at the Club or International level.

The Goal of Lionism

Lions throughout the world are always prepared to render unselfish service to their communities and those in need.

Their goal is to do whatever possible to relieve the miseries of poverty, disease, hunger, ignorance and fear.

What they do is embodied in the association’s motto,

Service is thus both the goal and definition of Lionism.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
