The Cochise Stronghold Lions Club, serving the Sulphur Springs Valley area since 1965, is part of Lions Clubs International, the largest volunteer service organization in the world.

In Sunsites and the surrounding areas, the club provides hearing aids, glasses, and eye exams for those who do not qualify for insurance or government programs and cannot afford necessary medical care.  The club also assists in other cases of need, cooperates with other service organizations, and donates to community projects.  A focus for the Cochise Stronghold Lions Club is the promotion of citizenship through school programs and the Flags Over Sunsites.
