Meetings

Courtland and District Lions Club has been operating since 1978.  Over the years, the club has been involved with many community projects ranging from Brunches to erecting tenant buildings at the Rainbow Lake Cancer park. Our membrs have been active and remain interested in assisiting the local public as possible

Currently the Club has Annual Activities that we sponsor/assit with.  We provide support to Local Womens Shelter,  Salvation Army Kettle drives and Christmas Hampers Local programs.

The Club members assist - both in person and financially,  to local Eater Egg and Halloween Candy Hunts where local families can bring their children and enjoy the activity.

Local High Schools benefit from ongoing bursaries that the Club supports so that local students can further their education utilizing the financial awards provided by the Club.

The Courtland Lions has a major Fund Raising goal that we focus on. The Club provided a $6,000 payment in December 2022, to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides to advance a dog through the program. This program is one that we have assisted in the past and plan on future donations. Being able to assist a person in need by helping to deliver a service dog brings into focus the idea of community service.  Check out Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides at www.dogguides.com, located in Oakville Ontario.
