Apr 25- Oyvind Gullickson(R) and Kari Gronningsater(L) were guests of Dale Nimrod at a Decorah Lions meeting. Oyvind Gullickson of Norway has been transcribing 155 letters recently found of Elizabeth Koren's writing to her family.

Dec 13- Renae Hartl (L), Luther College Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach, spoke to the Decorah Lions Club about her experiences administering a college athletic depart. and leading a very successful softball program. (R) Club Pres. Kim Sheppard.



Nov 22- Ray Torresdal (L) has served on the Winneshiek County Conservation Board for thirteen years. He talked to the Decorah Lions Club about the projects that the organization has been working on and future plans. (R) Club Pres. Kim Sheppard



Nov 8- Last year, 14 year old Decorah High School student, Thomas Hendrickson (R), was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He told us about his experience at Camp Hertko Hollow where he learned how to manage the disease and that he was not alone.



Oct 25- Stephanie Huber (L) presented a powerful message; Human Trafficking is here and it is our responsibility to stop it. Huber is the founder of the local chapter of C.A.S.T. (Creating Awareness of Sex Trafficking). (R) Club Pres. Kim Sheppard



Aug 23-Larry Reis (L) spoke to the Decorah Lions on Eagle and Hawk of Winneshiek Co. The Cooper's Hawk and the Red Tail Hawk are the most common. (R) is Lion's President, Kim Sheppard



Aug 9- Our annual picnic at Phelps Park for Lions, spouses and guests.



July 29 or 30- Pokey providing rides at the Fiftieth Nordic Fest.



July 12-Carson Eggland(R), executive director of Helping Services For Northeast Iowa, told the Decorah Lions about the programs provided by the non-profit organization which was founded in 1973. (L) is Dennis Evelsizer, Lions 1st Vice President.
