The Downs Lions Club holds fundraising projects throughout the year including:

- June - Lions Club Hamburger Stand during Downs Celebration

- May - Putting up flags during Memorial Day weekend
- October - Guest Night
- December - Fruit Baskets and Cards
- Help people get glasses
- Eye screening in schools
- Send Students to Lions State Band Camp
- Benches in Downs Cemetery
- Schedule mobile health screening unit.
- Peace Poster Contest
- Downs Celebration Lions Club Parade
- Fall Sports Kickoff meal
- Baseball Hotdog Feed
- Sponsor Pee Wee & Inter City Baseball
- Helps Distribute dictionaries to 3rd graders
- Take tickets at Lakeside High School football and basketball games
- Give free train rides on the Lions Club Special at the Kansas Storytelling Festival
- Help with Fun Run at Downs Celebration
- Help purchase eye glasses for those in need
