Secretary’s Minutes – April 2025

All members present voted in favor of the motion.

Treasurer’s Report – Lion Tim Myers

COMMITTEES:

Campground – Lion J. McKensie/Lion K. Mutzabaugh

There are old telephone poles if any campground member wants to use. Otherwise, they will be cut up and burned. See Lion K. Mutzabaugh or Lion J. McKensie.

The Board agreed to changing the golf cart driving age to 15. It must be the leasee’s children only. No guests will be permitted to do so.

There are stones available for $20 per scoop. There are also ‘old’ stones available for ½ price.

Campground Picnic will be 9/27/2025.

Campground Finance Report – Lion T. Singer

Nothing to report

Clubhouse – Lion Shawn Fuller

Numerous Board members talked to the lawn maintenance person to let him know they are not happy with the way the grass looks. He has since remedied the situation.

Lion S. Fuller will be purchasing a new clock for the clubhouse.

Eyeglasses – Lion Tim Myers

Nothing to report

Fundraising – Lion Cherie Stokes / Lion Penny Mutzabaugh

$3,491 Collected, $284.74 expenses, $3,206.26 total profit. $182 increase over last year.

Motion was made to donate $2,000 each to the DAV and the Senior Center.

V.              Old Business

T-shirts from Artistic Image are a minimum order of 24. Lion R. Warfel passed an order sheet to select sizes. We need a minimum order of 24 shirts. If anyone wants to order, see Lion R. Warfel.

Lion R. Warfel placed a temporary water restriction sign at the entrance of the campground. He is still looking for a business to make a metal or hard plastic sign.

VII.           Upcoming

  • Club picnic 9/27/2025
    • The picnic will be held under the Big Top in the campground on 9/27/25, starting at 2 pm. All campers and Lions Club members and their immediate families are free. There will be a $5 charge per person for any guests. All guests will receive a wristband at the ticket table. This year’s picnic will include homemade soup, burgers, and hot dogs for starters. We ask everyone to bring a side dish (hot or cold), salad or a dessert. Bottled water and kid’s drinks will be provided. All other drinks will be BYOB as in the past. We will also have some games and, of course, a DJ to dance the night away. We will have some tables and chairs, but feel free to bring a chair. We will also be selling pull tickets and have a 50/50 raffle.

    • Volunteers are still needed for setting up.
