Project Bravo Paint-A-Thon

The Upper Valley Lions are pleased to participate in Project Bravo’s annual paint-a-thon. Our members, along with other community volunteers, paint 100 homes in one day for elderly persons living in our community.

Susan Komen Race for the Cure

Assisting the Susan Komen Foundation Race for the Cure has become a favorite service project for our members.  Each year, the week before the race in El Paso, Texas, the Upper Valley Lions volunteer in shifts over 2 days assisting with registration and material distribution.

Texas Ramp Project

The Upper Valley Lions team up with the Texas Ramp Project to build ramps for disabled persons in El Paso County.  This project allows Lions to help change a person’s life in a single day.  The Texas Ramp Project identifies disabled or elderly people who can’t afford to buy or install a ramp for easier access to their home.  The lions in our club volunteer a few hours one Saturday a month to build a ramp.  This project gives homeowners a freedom that they were missing in their lives.

District 2T3 Lions Senior Service

The El Paso Upper Valley Lions Club is proud to be one of the first clubs to make a commitment to the District 2T3  Lions Senior Service initiative. This new project will allow us to provide service to elderly persons who are in need of wheelchair ramps or safety equipment for their homes, but do not have the financial means to have the work done. It will also allow us to help coordinate dental care for elderly persons who would otherwise not be able to afford the care.
