The Eugene Downtown Lions collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids from approximately 35 locations throughout the Eugene area.

Eyeglasses are sent to Portland, OR for sorting and then to the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, OR where inmates clean, calibrate and sort the eyeglasses for mission.  The mission-ready eyeglasses are distributed to developing countries as part of the Lions Health Missions.  Each year Lions throughout Multiple District 36 collect 130,000 - 150,000 eyeglasses.

Hearing aids are sent to a refurbisher and placed in the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation's Hearing Aid Bank for future recipients.
