Youth Leaders in Service

If you are aged between 8 and 18 and you help out around the house or in your community, you could be eligible to win our Youth Leaders in Service Award.  This could be done on its own or in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Welsh Baccalaureate, Cadets, Scouts - the list is endless.  For more details read on!

The Young Leaders in Service Awards encourage, guide, mentors and recognises young people (aged 8-18 years) for their community over a 12 month period. On completion of 12 months service the young people awarded will receive a certificate, letter of congratulations from Lions Clubs International (MD105) British Isles, and a Young Leaders in Service pin. There are three levels of award:

  • Bronze: 25-49 hours voluntary work or helping out in 12 months
  • Silver: 50-99 hours voluntary work or helping out in 12 months
  • Gold: 100+ hours voluntary work or helping out in 12 months

The 12 month period starts on the date of the first hour of service by the young person. It ends on the 12 month anniversary of that date. Depending on the number of hours dedicated to the community service activity, a bronze, silver or gold award certificate will be presented, along with a letter of congratulations (signed by the MD105 Chair of Council) and a Young Leaders in Service pin.
