Fredericton Lions Club Centennial Scholarship
The Fredericton Lions Club is offering a minimum of three (3) scholarships of $1000 each year. The scholarships will be dispersed following receipt of proof of acceptance and proof of registration in a post-secondary education program at a University, Community College or other approved program.

The Centennial Scholarship is open to applicants who are members of the Fredericton Lions
Club, past member of the former Lioness Club, *family of a Fredericton Lions Club
member/past member, or a past member of the Lioness Club, or a**volunteer who has assisted at
the Dippy Dog Trailer for at least two (2) years.
*Family is defined as a: spouse, child, stepchild, grandchild, or step grandchild of a member or
past member of the Fredericton Lions or former Lioness Club.
**Volunteer is defined as a person who is not an above noted family member to a member or
past member of the Fredericton Lions Club or former Lioness Club, who has completed at least 2
four-hour shifts at the Dippy Dog Trailer, for 2 consecutive years.
How to Apply
1. Complete an application form. Applications can be requested from the Fredericton Lions

2. Complete and attach a covering letter offering any information that you feel may be
pertinent to assist those evaluating the application
3. Attach all necessary documents (transcripts, proof of enrollment, and covering letter, etc.)

Deadline for Applications
- Applications must be received by June 30
- Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of acceptance or enrollment in a post-secondary program prior to the scholarships being awarded
Scholarships will be awarded at the Lions Club Appreciation Dinner for volunteers in September. Alternate arrangements may be made in extenuating circumstances.
