Meeting called to order by President Gary Lemke January 22nd. 7:15PM at the Hilbert Community Center.

20 members were present. Adam Crowson of the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin gave a presentation to the Hilbert Club. A lot of good information and questions.

 

Motion made by Brady and seconded by Gene Woelfel to approve the Secretary Report

Treasurers report was given and subject to audit

New Member

Logan Beyer and Casey Swobota were added into the Lions portal as new members.

Old Business

  • Wes and Roger gave a Delightfully Calumet report for the area food bank and monetary impacts to the club. There will likely be contributions put into new decorations at the discretion of Wes.
  • Jean, Cheryl, Tony, and Darcey gave a report on Lions camp and eye glass recycling program.
  • Medical Locker/Salvatorian Center- Support is needed January 26th and February. Communication will be sent.
  • 19 deer antlers were collected from Hickory Hills Meat/Scott Krueger and handed to PDG Fred Gebhart.
  • The presenter for the February meeting will be 2nd District Governor Lori Sosada
  • Brady gave an update for the March Raffle. 506 tickets were sold with 40 donations. There was discussion about Cobblestone Creek capacity that may be further discussed at a further meeting. There was a recommendation to find a company to sponsor a smoker.
  • President Gary encouraged members to volunteer for the State bowling.

New Business

  • A motion was made by Gene Woelfel and seconded by Tom Konen to donate $500 towards the Easter Egg Hunt.
  • There was communication to gather the committee to identify candidates Birch/Sturm recognition at Lions Camp.
  • A motion made by Tom Konen and seconded by Logan Beyer to donate $500 to Blade Bowe and children who were put in a life changing event.
  • A motion made by Roger Joas and seconded by Tony Breit to donate $500 to a youth ski trip like 2025.
  • A motion made by Gary Lemke and seconded by Brady Ehlen to donate $200 to a youth swim at the Brillion Community Center on 2/28 from 10AM to Noon
  • 9-10 members will attend the Zone meeting in February. 6pm Social. 7PM Dinner Cobblestone Creek Brillion
  • Future meetings will only have a board meeting if there is a need.
  • Mike B to give an update on the 4th of July music line up in February. Alicia proposed Whisper Hill Clydesdales.

Meeting adjourned 9:00PM. Next meeting will be February 26th Hilbert Community Center with the meal provided by Alicia, Roger, Cassandra, Darcey, Cheryl/Jean, likely others. 6PM Board/7PM Meeting.
