Meetings
The Hurley Lions Club's Charter from Lions Clubs International was issued on May 13, 1955.  A Charter Night was held on June 8, 1955 and the Lions Club of Kingston, the sponsoring Lions Club, was recognized for its dedication and interest in creating a Lions Club in Hurley, New York.

Around the world, when a Lions Club celebrates its 50th year of service to Lionism and its community, significant events are held to mark that major milestone. The Hurley, New York Lions Club held such an event on July 16, 2005, but there was no fancy dinner, no special awards, no music or dancing, and no speeches about what the Club has done for the community over the last 50 years. Its celebration, however, was one of the most impressive in its history and in the history of District 20-O: The presentation of a gazebo to the Town of Hurley, New York that is dedicated to the Town’s men and women who served in the armed forces of the United States of America.
