Kalama Lions Board Meeting Minutes

February 7, 2022

The meeting was held at the Community Building. Present were Randy Hahn, Adele Cravey, Randy and Mary Gillespie, Tani Ham, Mike Hendryx, Monte Ward, Mike Reuter, Anna Lunday and guest Larry Frasier.

The treasurer’s report was accepted.

The club has received a request for money for the Little League. Discussion was held about how much the Lions supports the Little League already so it was not felt that more money needed to be donated. Mary related that the application for CARES money needed to have a narrative attached. She also reported that 10 of the student checks had not been cashed. It was agreed to put the money back into the checking account.

The minutes of the last meeting were accepted.

Randy H. reported that In August the Walk and Knock board will start meeting.

The Board approved hosting a Zone meeting on April 11th. Cindy Fickett has offered to help.

Anna reported that the Boy Scouts have moved their meetings to the Methodist Church for the Little League season. The Scouts went camping last week. Their Christmas tree lot raised enough money that $1000 was given to the Cub Scouts (which are sponsored by the Baptist Church). The Boy Scout troop will be sent to Boy Scout Camp. They are working on a service project to rebuild a stone wall that has failed and was publicized on Facebook. The Scout continue to put up the flags in Kalama for special days.

Anna and Mary will be the guest speakers for the next dinner meeting.

The meeting was adjourned.
