LIONS SERVE THE COMMUNITY

Our motto is WE SERVE.  In the last year our members have worked on following service projects:

• Paid eye and hearing exams for persons in need.
• Helped provide eyeglasses, hearing aids and eye surgeries.
• Sponsored Lions Health Screening Trailer for no-cost screenings for glaucoma, diabetes, hearing,visual acuity,and blood pressure.
• Collected over 3000 pairs of eyeglasses for recycling to overseas missions.
• Collected used hearing aids to be refurbished and available to people in our community who are in need.
• We are a major sponsor of the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
• Built wheelchair ramps, installed handicap grab-bars.
• Provided funds for Leader Dogs, Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center,  Oso mudslide relief, research on diabetes, and sight-harming diseases.
• Collected items for the food bank and homeless teens.
• Donated and installed LIONS water fountain at Sacajawea State Park.
• Supported Neighborhood Night Out and the JayCee's pancake breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt by providing our food concession trailer and volunteers to man it.
• Supported JayCee's Haunted Forest fund raiser with our food trailer.
• Hosted an annual senior citizens Christmas party.
