For those not familiar with us, the Lake Oswego Lions Club is one of 48,000 Lions Clubs in 200 countries. All clubs are groups of volunteers who are interested in serving their communities, particularly in the areas of vision and hearing assistance, hunger relief, diabetes awareness, environment, and childhood cancer. The LO Lion Club helps provide vision and hearing exams, eyeglasses, and hearing aids for people who cannot afford them. We also help screen students (K to 6) for vision problems and collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids for recycling. Among our many other projects are collecting food donations for Hunger Fighters (a local food pantry) and providing scholarships for high school seniors. If you don't want to buy any See's Candy, consider making a tax-deductible donation directly. Make checks payable to Lake Oswego Lions Charities and mail to PO Box 163, Lake Oswego, OR 97034 or donate online at: https://www.paypal.com/donate?token=WdnhwGfREt4iia093vfWyof02QcpJlyi-Bp3rth_a7W8ERiSO10rlQ4Ac_JeqcmC6FAe24FDVT1cOCLe Have the Hap - Happiest Season EVER as we continue Changing the World WE SERVE! 2023 LOLC Christmas Party/Potluck Dinner "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!"
December 05, 2023
5:00-8:30 p.m.
Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S State St, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
It’s time for our 2023 LOLC Christmas Party/Potluck Dinner, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" And you’re invited! Please join us on Tuesday, December 5th from 5:00 to 8:30 in the evening at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S State St, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. Having this wonderful event in the evening makes it even more wonderful because it allows our working Lions and VisionEnvoy student members to be a part of the festivities. Some of the VE members would like to share their musical instruments and talents with us in an entertainment program that they will design. Let’s all put this date and time on our calendars and attend! It will be a potluck, and Lions Sharon and Jeanine will provide main dishes for all to share; other members can bring sides, salads, or desserts. For all who want to participate, bring a wrapped gift suitable for anyone ($15 limit) and we will have a mystery gift exchange. Also, for all who want to participate, bring a Christmas ornament to help decorate our tree and do an ornament exchange. Don't miss this MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! Please RSVP to Lion Sharon at sgrollins@comcast.net or 503.702.5917 or Lion Bonnie at bonnieroeder@comcast.net or 503.729.3335.
