White Cane Days

We appreciate the financial support of our Villages community during our White Cane Days, held at various Publix grocery stores.   We live in a great Community where people are so generous in supporting the Lake Sumter Lions Club's White Cane Days. 

   

    

  

     

 

Quarterly Fundraisers with Culver's

The Lake Sumter Lions Club partners with the Culver's (located on 5327 Sundance Trail (Rt 466A) for quarterly fundraisers.  Lions welcome customers and serve the food. Culver's donates 10% of the sales from 5pm to 8pm. Thanks goes to Lake Sumter Lions John and Annette who organizes these fundraisers.

   

   

   

 

Annual Chinese Basket Auctions

Every year, the Lake Sumter Lions hold a Chinese Basket Auction with a crowd of over 250 people attending.  Attendees buy tickets for between 80 to 100 baskets, worth $50 to $100 each.  Each basket is awarded based on the ticket drawn. Lions also serve a meal of grilled hamburgers, chips, cookies and soda, though attendees are welcome to bring their won snacks and drinks.  This is a great FUNdraiser!

 

 

 

Quarterly Fundraisers with Dairy Queen

It is a fun and profitable event at DQ that Lake Sumter Lions do quarterly.  DQ donates 10% of the sales from 11am to 8pm on a Saturday. Thanks goes to Lions Annette Thomson and John Thomson for leading this fundraiser for the Club.  It's a lot of fun, happiness, and yummy food. 

        

   

  

 

Juke Box Bingos

The Lake Sumter Lions JukeBox Bingo is such a fun event for all. Local DJs are hired by the Club to conduct the muscial bingos.  Winners of each game win $$ if their card is filled with the names of the musical numbers. There is lots of singing as the DJs play songs on the bingo card.  

    

     

  

   

 

Collecting & Recycling Aluminum Cans

Members of the Lake Sumter Lions Club collect aluminum cans from neighbors and friends.  Every 2-3 weeks, Lion Chuck gathers these cans and takes them to the Recycling Center in Wildwood.  Lions are performing a community recycling service and as well as making a bit of money for Club projects.
