Marlborough Christmas Lights

A major community event in Marlborough is the Christmas Light switch-on. The Lions normally get involved with our Carol Float taking part in the procession, as well as entertaining children with Father Christmas and carols during the evening.

Spectacle recycling

Since its formation nearly 100 years ago Lions Club International has focused on sight related projects. Marlborough Lions Club have placed a recycling box in the local recycling centre. The spectacles are collected regularly and sent to a central collection point for sending them on to developing countries.

Message in a bottle

The purpose of the Message in a Bottle service is to provide a plastic bottle to be placed in the fridge of the elderly and infirm which contains contact information and medication details. This information can be accessed by the emergency services.

Marlborough Lions deliver bottles to Doctors’ surgeries, dentists, care homes, the local hospital and other suitable locations in the area.
