Welcome! to the Martisco Lions Club website where you'll find ongoing information about our group and the areas that we serve.

The local Martisco Lions chapter was founded in 1970 serving the areas protected by the fire departments of the towns of Amber, Borodino, Marcellus, Otisco, Navarino and Spafford.

Our primary focus is sight, diabetes, and hearing. We help those in need of vision exams and eye glasses. We also screen school age children for vision problems. We collect eye glasses to be refurbished and distributed to those who need them; collection boxes are at the Marcellus Town Hall, the Marcellus Public Library and the Marietta Post Office. Additionally, we collect used hearing aids for the Finger Lakes Region Lions Hearing Foundation, where they are refurbished and given to those who would not otherwise be able to obtain hearing aids.

We help local fire and accident victims, provide scholarships for Marcellus High School graduates, and maintain a cabin at the Lions Camp Badger which is a camp for disabled individuals.

We support our local fire departments, food pantries and community as needed. Additionall, twice a year we spend the day together cleaning up Otisco Valley Road from Route 20 to the Lake.

Our primary fundraiser is our annual "Duck Derby" which takes place in Marcellus Park on the 3rd Sunday in August. This is when we set 2000 ducks in the creek to swim to the finish line! Because of your support, we have been able to serve our community in so many ways!

We meet the 2nd Thursdays of each month at our clubhouse on Otisco Valley Road.  We always welcome visitors and new members!

"Thank you" to all of those that have helped us meet our goals and to all the local businesses that have been there for us!
