The Lions Club of Mesick and the Mushroom Festival Committee are looking for new members to join us!

We are a Club of 6 active members and, if we do not get some new members, the Mushroom Festival will eventually die out!

The Lions Club of Mesick serves the Mesick and Buckley areas.  Services include (but are not limited too ~ depending on approval of the Board):

Free eye exams and glasses for those qualifying; financial assistance for families that burn-out of their homes; 2 scholarships for graduating seniors from Mesick and Buckley schools; purchase of school supplies for Mesick and Buckley schools; sponsors of the Mesick-Buckley Youth Soccer program; Wexford Country Sheriff's "Safety Pup" program; local Special Olympics; Boy Scout Pak #42 and Girl Scout Troop #3990; Adopt a Family(ies) from the Mesick Schools; Project Christmas; Breakfast with Santa; annual community Easter Egg Hunt; annual Halloween

Carnival; hosts of the Mesick Lion's Veteran's Memorial Park; owners of the Mesick Lions ~ Dana Ream Memorial Ballpark; highway clean-up; and, we have a medical equipment closet.

District and State Projects we support include: PAWS with a Cause; Leader Dogs for the Blind; Lions Clubs International Foundation; Lions of Michigan Service Foundation; Lions of Michigan All-State Band; Eversight; Lions of Michigan Project KidSight; and, Lions of Michigan Bear Lake Camp.

We meet a couple hours twice a month (taking the months of June and December off) at Ellens Corner's Community Room starting at 6:30.
