FUNDRAISERS:  

Our club holds a few established annual fundraisers.  This enables us to support our community, the Lions of Indiana state projects and Lions Clubs International global causes.  THANK YOU for your continued contributions and volunteerism in helping us make this a better world!

• GOOD FRIDAY FISH FRY - serving fish and burgers with chips and a drink; held at Hometown IGA, Oakland City, IN

• GIBSON COUNTY FAIR - selling floats, shakeups, sodas, tea and water during fair week; Lions building near grandstands, Princeton, IN

• SWEET CORN FESTIVAL - 3 day event held late Summer at Wirth Park, Oakland City, IN, which has meals served in the Community Center, vendors, food trucks, nightly entertainment, Saturday family day, Saturday am parade and plenty of sweet corn

• FRUIT SALES - heading into Fall each year, members are provided with a catalog and order forms to offer everyone some tasty fresh-picked fruit options and other items; orders normally come in to club first part of December

SERVICE PROJECTS:

"WHERE THERE'S A NEED, THERE'S A LION" holds so true in our organization.  A lot of our service can arise at the spur-of-the-moment as needed, but there are some on a continual basis.

• WMHS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP - a Wood Memorial senior student who has a distinguished record in serving others; annual

• EAST GIBSON FOOD PANTRY - assisting another local organization with the hope of no one in our community going hungry

• 3RD GRADE DICTIONARIES - provided to each East Gibson 3rd grader; annual

• EYEGLASS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - individuals with approved applications can receive assistance when needing to obtain new prescription eyeglasses

• BREAKFAST WITH SANTA - younger children get a free breakfast and visit with Santa; annual

• CHRISTMAS AT GOOD SAM - Santa and some helping elves take gifts to the residents of Good Samaritan Home & Rehab Center, Oakland City, IN
