Dictionary Project

Since 2003, we have purchased and distributed dictionaries to third grade students in 6 of the 19 elementary schools in Vista.  Annually, we distribute approximately 1,000 dictionaries.

Annual Scholarships

· Four (4) $500 annual scholarships in memory of our Guiding Lion, Rocco Valluzzi.

· Student Speaker Contest (Progressive regional  contest), maximum award $21,250.00

Community Support

The Pride of Vista Lions Club responds to requests for monetary assistance and volunteer hours. Recipients include the San Diego Center for the Blind, Angel’s Depot, Casa de Amparo, RBV Band, Canine Companions, Camp Jack, Best Buddies at VHS, Palomar College Gear Up program, and many others.
