Health Screening, Medical Education and Humanitarian Support

Members organize and lead monthly health screening events and medical education sessions, with a special focus on blood pressure monitoring and diabetes awareness. These initiatives provide free, accessible screenings to detect early health risks and offer practical education on prevention, management, and lifestyle tips. Participants benefit from personalized guidance by trained volunteers in a supportive community setting.

Children with Cancer

An award winning project and proposed District 4L6 endorsed project, the San Diego Majestic Lions Club (SDMLC) collaborates with valued partners, including the San Diego North Park Lions Club and Club de Leones Playas de Tijuana, on impactful recycling drives. Members collect plastic bottle caps, which are recycled into usable materials; the profits directly fund essential treatments and care for children battling cancer in Tijuana, offering hope and resources to families in need.

Additionally, SDMLC hosts an annual Superhero Walk—a vibrant community event where participants don superhero costumes to raise awareness about pediatric cancer. This fun, family-friendly fundraiser generates vital funds to meet the ongoing needs of underprivileged children with cancer, covering medical costs, nutritional support, and emotional care to help them fight their battles with courage and community backing.

Food Distribution

Volunteers organize monthly food distribution services at two convenient locations: Downtown and Chula Vista. These events ensure community members in need receive essential groceries and supplies in a welcoming, efficient manner.

Tijuana Prison Ministry

San Diego Majestic Lions Club volunteers dedicated to the Tijuana Prison Ministry actively collect donations and humanitarian supplies to deliver essential basic necessities to inmates in Tijuana prisons. These efforts focus on providing items like hygiene products, medical supplies, clothing, and hard candies, offering dignity and hope to those incarcerated. By partnering with local organizations and ensuring safe, compliant distribution, the ministry fosters rehabilitation, spiritual support, and community reintegration opportunities

Humanitarian Missions to the Philippines

The San Diego Majestic Lions Club (SDMLC) conducts regular humanitarian missions to the Philippines, bringing vital support to underserved communities. These initiatives include feeding programs for nutrition, health screenings, and medical education sessions to promote wellness and preventive care.

A key focus is providing financial aid and durable medical equipment—such as wheelchairs—to abandoned elderly individuals and disabled adults, helping them achieve greater independence and dignity.

On Thanksgiving Day 2023, San Diego Majestic Lions Club members ventured to a remote tribal village, navigating three hours off-road and up a riverbed. They delivered a half-ton of rice, school supplies, and hosted a feeding program that nourished over 50 families in the community.

The following year, the team returned to the same village—which lacked rural electrical service—and donated solar lighting systems, illuminating homes and improving safety and daily life for residents.

San Diego Fisher House

The San Diego Majestic Lions Club provides steadfast support to the San Diego Fisher House through semi-annual donations, aiding military veterans and their families during treatment at Naval Medical Center San Diego. These contributions help cover essential living expenses, such as meals, lodging, and transportation, allowing families to focus on recovery and healing without financial stress.

This partnership reflects SDMLC's commitment to honoring those who served, offering comfort during challenging times. The Fisher House serves as a "home away from home," and these regular gifts ensure its doors remain open to those in need.
