Looking to expand the reach of Lions Clubs in the Truckee Meadows, Past International Director Vince Vinella set out in the summer of 2007, going door-to-door, engaging business owners and workers alike about the opportunity to serve their community. The result of their efforts is the Spanish Springs Lions Club. Chartered in December of 2007, we endeavor to serve our community and spread Lionism where ever we can.

Good fellowship is an important part of our Lions Club and each year a variety of activities are planned. The Club participates in the City of Sparks Adopt-a-Park Program; volunteers monthly at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Members knit hats for Warm for the Winter program. We also support many District 46 Projects, such as Camp Dat-So-La-Lee, the Student Speakers Contest, Lions Project for Canine Companions, Lions Eye Foundation, Read Between the Lions and the Washoe County Sight Conservation Committee, to name a few.
