9th Annual St. Pius X Relieving Hunger Dinner
January is Hunger Awareness Month. On Friday, January 9th, 2026, the Stickney-Forest View Lions Club hosted families in need for our 9th Annual Relieving Hunger Dinner. Started in January of 2017, we fed the families being serviced by the St. Pius X Family Ministries for the holidays. We started that year with 15 families, and now we have been serving around 30 plus families. This year, we served 33 families and 118 meals. The families being served took home a roasted chicken dinner with potatoes, vegetables, a roll and dessert enough to enjoy dinner that evening and leftovers for some families to enjoy again.

Stickney-Forest View Lions Food Pantry

If anyone has been looking for our Stickney-Forest View Lions Club Food Pantry, it is still located at the Forest View Village Hall. It has just been moved to the north end of the second floor. We invite the community to help keep this much needed resource stocked with non-perishable food items and hygiene products. If you should notice the pantry needs restocking, please email us at sfvlions@gmail.com. Thank you again to the Village of Forest View for hosting our pantry.

Queen of Hearts Raffle

Our Queen of Hearts Raffle is back, with some minor changes. See the updated game rules for details. Our weekly drawing is held at 7:30p every Tuesday, at Lynn Catherine’s located at 6525 W. Pershing Rd., Stickney, IL. You can purchase tickets at Lynn Catherine's or at our online store. 

At our February 3rd Queen of Hearts Drawing, the winning ticket belonged to Beverly who picked card number #29, which was revealed to be the Ace of Spades. Beverly won $250 and the pot will roll over to next week.
