Our club is the oldest club in Florida. We have been and continue to be very active in our local community and with the District, State, and International Lions. We believe in serving our community and have a great time doing it. We have our annual installation dinner every June and a party for our members every December to celebrate the Christmas/Holiday Season! One of our major year round projects is helping individuals who are having financial issues with an eye exam and glasses. If you are interested in getting involved with the Tampa Downtown Lions Club and supporting our causes, please contact our club. We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at noon at our clubhouse located at 5251 South Hesperides in Tampa.
Fundraisers
Our upcoming fundraiser is the 2nd Annual Al Desilet Memorial Charity Golf Tournmanet to be held on Monday April 6th at the beautiful Carrollwood Country Club. The tournament honors a fellow Lion who gladly served his community for years and allows us to continue to keep giving the gift of sight!!
