The Valdese Lions Club have supported the people of Valdese and surrounding communities since 1936.  We actively participate in both Service and Fundraising Activities.

Service:

• Vision:  Vision Screenings - Children, Veterans, Seniors; financial support for comprehensive eye exams and glasses for individuals in need; VIP (Visually Impaired Person) sponsorship and assistance; collect and sort used glasses, hearing aids, and mobile phones for rehab and re-distribution
• Hunger:  BackPack Program (Food for Students)
• Environment:  Plastics Recycling
• Education:  Yoder Scholarship
• Volunteerism:  Camp Dogwood; Margorie McCune Center; and Agape Retirement Facility
• Community:  Disaster relief (NC Lions Brighter Vision)

Fundraising:  Broom Sales; Belk Charity Days; Waldensian Festival; Crawdad Concessions; Annual Dinner; Craft Fairs
