Welcome to the Valley Lions Club!

In 2004 teachers at the Valley School identified a need in our community -- an increasing number of students lacking access to affordable clothes. They assembled an action team and the Helping Hands Thrift Store in Hazelton was created. The Valley Lions Club was then chartered to operate the store on behalf of Helping Hands Thrift Store, Inc., a partnership that continues today.

When something positive happens in the community, the Lions want to be involved. In addition to the thrift store, the club organizes community events like the annual summer Celebration and candidate forums, as well as partnering with other community groups on projects that make Eden, Hazelton, and Murtaugh great places to live.

Lions have been active in this community for nearly 100 years. The Valley Lions Club is proud to carry on the legacies of the former Eden Lions Club and Hazelton Lions Club. The Lions fellowship monthly over an evening meal where they update each other on their neighbors and dream of new ways to promote and enrich the community.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
