Wake Forest Lions Club has many projects during the year. These projects focus on the needs of people in oour community and also our state. Wake Forest Lions Club is a member of Lions Clubs International which is the largest service organization in the world with clubs in many countries.
1. Preschool, elementary school and community childhood vision screenings
2. Assisting persons with financial assistance for eye exams and glasses
3. Dispensing free reading glasses to adults and free sungasses to adults and children at community events in our area
4. Holding at least two food drives during the year for Tri Area Ministry
5. Supporting Camp Dogwood in Sherills Ford, NC. This is a special camp for VIP and disabled adults and children.
6. Supporting Childhood Cancer by supplying funds for cancer research and providing gift cards for families with children treated by UNC Cancer Center
7. Collecting and sorting donated used eyegalsses, cell phones, hearing aids
8. Packing and delivering food bags to elementary and middle schools through North East Backpack Buddies weekend food program.
9. Packing and distributing hot meals and perishable food items for Wake Forest Comminity Table at Hope House(Monday) and Olive Branch Baptist Church (Wednesday)
10. Purchasing and donating back to school supplies for Hope House Back to School Giveaway in August of each year.
11. Partcipating the Wake Forest Crop Walk which is held annually in the Fall
12. Participating in the Foundation Fighting Blindness Triangle Vision Walk which is held annually in April
13. Supporting the NC Boys & Girls Home at Lake Waccamaw by providing needed items and also with monetary donations.
14. Hosting monthly Bingo Games at Hillside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wake Forest - to begin June 2025
15. Hosting a booth at Wake Forest Forest Fest in April of each year.
16. Hosting a booth at Good Neighbor Day in September with an emphasis on color blindness and free vision screening for children

1. Spagetti Dinner in the Fall.
2. Selling Attraction Books in the Fall
4. Participating in Culver's Community Share Nite Fundraiser in the Spring and Fall
5. Wake Forest Farmers Market booth to begin in June, 2025
