Some of the Lakeside Lions members and volunteers at the 2016 8th Annual Baking Contest

The Winnipeg Beach and Dunnottar Lakeside Lions was founded and received its charter in October 1987.

During the past 35 years our club has raised money to help local residents in numerous ways and volunteered countless hours helping other organizations within our community. All funds raised stay in our community.

The Lakeside Lions is one of the main sponsors of the Winnipeg Beach School Breakfast Program, we help to gather donations of used eye glasses and hearing aids to be re-used in poorer countries, and assist with funds for special projects. In 2016, we held our first annual Purina® Walk for Dog Guides. As always, 100% of funds raised go directly to that cause.

Watch for details about our on-going events such as our Meat Draws every Friday and Saturday in February at the Winnipeg Beach Hotel. During the Wonderful Winter Weekend festival (Feb. 17, 18, 19) we will have meatdraws also on Sunday. Family fun Days in August, Corn Roast and Sale in September, our Dinner and Dance held in November (in partnership with the Winnipeg Beach Firefighters), and the first of its kind in the Interlake and much loved Cookie Walk held the first Saturday of December.

We meet the second Thursday of each month at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 291 Churchill Road in Winnipeg Beach. There is no cost to drop in. Membership is just $60 per year.  There are no meetings during July and August.
