CONTACTING LIONS CLUBS NEAR ANTIGONISH
ANTIGONISH LIONS CLUB works in co-operation with five other Lions clubs near by. We call this group of Lions who work together ZONE 2. If you wish to contact them I have included their information below this picture.
Lion Roger, Lion Vic and Lion Dave pose with staff of St. Martha's hospital and a representative of the company that supplied a device (for detecting bacteria, virus etc. to St. Martha's )donated by by Antigonisn Lions Club 2011. Antigonish Lions Club worked in co-operaiton with other Zone 2 Lions Clubs who donated the same device to other hospital facilities.
The other Lions Clubs are : CANSO, LOUISDALE, and ST. PETERS and my apology to each of these clubs as I don’t have any more on their webpages. On March 20th the Antigonish Lions Club hosted the Lions Zone Speak-out. Below left is Tessa Smith who is the Winner of Lions Zone Speakout for 2012. She is representated by the St. Mary's Lions Club. On the right is the runner up Elizabeth Duff representing the Antigonish Lion Club. In the center is Zone Chairperson and Past District Governor Earl Einarson. Congratulations to Tessa who goes onto the District Speakout which is held in Amherst later in April.

Lions are active. Our motto is "We Serve." Lions are part of a global service network, doing whatever is necessary to help our local communities.
It is to this great organization which we get support and help that makes it possible to for us to work with our community. Our own Lion Roger M. Natarajan (863-6117 e-mail is: rogernatarajan@hotmail.com is the Chair for the NOVA SCOTIA DIABETES AWARENESS COMMITTEE as well as our local Diabetes Awareness committee. He is very approachable and will interest you with good answers for your many questions on diabetes.

Multiple District N , was chartered by Lions Clubs International July 6, 2007, with the division of Multiple District 41 into the single District 41 (Maine, USA) and the Atlantic Provinces of Canada plus Fort Kent, Fort Fairfield and Calais, Maine, USA
At the Canadian Level ANTIGONISH LIONS CLUB works with LIONS FOUNDATION OF CANADA who has, for example, provided specially trained Dog Guides at no cost to people of all ages from coast to coast. . Our very own Past District Governor Earl Einarson and his lovely wife Lion Alice have done enormous work on this and other projects.
