For those who are not too familiar with Computers you can link onto  an Internet (Just Click on)  FREE COMPUTER COURSE webpage.  and you can learn some of the basics there.  Your own computer should have some basic stuff on Windows Operating System.

This page has got training material to help lions to better their work and their knowledge.  For example if a Lion wants to know more about helping the person he sponsor he or she can see below to either go directly to a course or to a webpage by Lions Intenation to click on their many training materials.  (Material to  especially help the New Lion is on the BECOMING AN ANTIGNISH LION page. Sponsors can check that page and this page for material to help their   prospective new lion. .) 

SUGGESTED TRAINING MATERIALS AND LINKS TO LIONS INTERNATIONAL SITES.

One can get training courses put on by the Antigonish Lions Club Executive , Nova Scotia Lions, Lions International or thru Multiple District.   There are also courses you can get on line to help you learn about Lionism.   There are some training materials listed below to help you get started.

ORIENTATING NEW MEMBERS BRIEFING:

There is a briefing that can be given to all new members to help them learn about our club and Lionism in general.  This file is for Members only as it is like a course outline of what to tell the new members.  There are two courss that can be given to new members. 

 

 1.  There is the Orientation Gude  and you can clik on it to show it and it will help you to know what to present to  new members.userfiles/5090/file/members%20orientation13.pdf

2.This is a course developed by Lion Charles Uhlman, Past District Governor and the file is too big to upload to the server (computer that runs this website) or to set up as a link.  Just e-mail me and I will send it to you as an attachment to an e-mail.  vicmaclellan@eastlink.ca.

VETERN LIONS:

PDG Charlie is asking a a number of clubs to ppilot the first two sections  at a meeting where there are Lions who have attended the Orientation Session.  Even if you are not part of the pilot try i and see howl youdo.

Helping to train lions to help new members

There is a lot of information available to help educate lions to help their new members and their fellow members.  Below is a start and there is enough information on these links for us to help new members.

When a new member has joined Lions International encourages clubs to recognize the work of lions that bring people in with it's RECOGNITION OF ITS MEMBERSHIP GROWTH ACHIEVEMENTS.  Just click --

Learning about Cameras:

I found that I did not know much about my camera and I had some difficulty in following the manual.  I got a more detail manual on the internet but for those who want to know some basics on camereas in general there are free camera coures at this Webpage.
