Glanford & Lindsey Lions Club

September 2017

Without YOUR help we would not be able to assist the worthy causes we do; so a huge THANK YOU for the support you give us.

Lions Clubs help local communities in a number of ways with every penny collected going direct to good causes. Not a penny is spent on administration. We focus on good deeds and help those who are less fortunate.

The Power of We - As individuals, we can only do so much. But when 1.4 million Lions work together, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

The Power of Service - Making the impossible possible. It all comes down to one thing -service.

The Future is Now - The time to act is now. We can and we will make a lasting impact on our communities and the world.

We continue to donate food to the Forge in Scunthorpe on a weekly basis thanks to the generosity of Jonathan and Amy at The White Heather.

As Texas starts to cope with their floods, heavy rains have paralysed India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Heavy rain also caused mud slides in Sierra Leone with the subsequent loss of life and destruction of buildings. The Lions Clubs International Foundation responded immediately with grants which will help the immediate relief. When other agencies have left the site of a disaster Lions Clubs International Foundation will still be there because many of our members who administer the aid make up the local community that has been affected. As a Club Glanford & Lindsey are proud to have made a donation to this worthy cause and further funding will be made available to help with the longer term rebuilding.

During our Centennial Year we have;

Raising funds enables us to continue our commitment in serving the communities in which we live. Caring for Your Community is our key objective. Glanford and Lindsey Lions Club provide, through our various activities, support where it is needed and we will continue to support groups and individuals who deserve and require help.
