Upcoming programs and speakers 2017

November 15, 2017:   Barbara Otto, President of "Grateful Garments", and Leah Michelle Taylor, Community Outreach / Development Associate, will talk about "returning dignity to victims of sexual violence", and their program to provide new clothing for sexual attack victims as they leave hospital.
November 22, 2017:  No meeting, Thanksgiving Holiday
November 29, 2017:   Christine Herrera, Outreach Director, of the Los Gatos Ballet.  She will talk about their extensive dance program and training for adults and children.
December 6, 2017:  Noemi Conway, Executive Director of SAF, the Stroke Awareness Foundation,   SAF was instrumental in helping local hospitals to become Certified Stroke Centers.  Guest speaker, stroke survivor Greg Davies, who recovered from a 2003 attack tells how to recognize symptoms and what to do to survive.  Greg Is owner of Davies Commercial Real Estate.
December 13, 2017:  Los Gatos High School holiday choral performance, directed by Maricel Riley.  This is a great time to invite a guest for lunch.
December 20, 2017 Sam Peterson, Speaker on Marijuana use and medical benefits. 
December 27, 2017:  No meeting.  Holiday break.  
January 3, 2018:  Catherine Somers, Executive Director, of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce
January 10, 2018:  Los Gatos Mayor, Rob Rennie.  Rob was sworn in on November 21st.
January 17, 2018:  Bill Murphy, CEO and co-founder of Clos LaChance Winery.  Learn about this old world inspired facility located in San Martin.  Clos LaChance offers a variety of wine tasting programs and tours. The winery also hosts special events throughout the year.
January 24, 2018:  Mark Brodsky past mayor of Monte Sereno and VTA PAC member.  He will discuss the transportation plan to help reduce congestion.
January 31, 2018:  Nick Ward, Los Gatos High School varsity basketball coach.  Nick will be giving an overview of the team and their season.
February 7, 2018
February 14, 2018:  John Poch, Executive Director of San Jose Sports Authority.  John was hired to take over the Sports Authority in June 2017.  He will talk about the plans and ideas to bring major sports events to San Jose.  The San Jose Sports Authority is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the City of San Jose’s economic development, visibility and civic pride through sports.   San Jose Sports Authority
