We Serve
Bringing The Waynesville Community Together
The Waynesville Lions Club Charter was signed by 33 men on December 15th, 1958, disbanding the previous Waynesville Civic Club and starting a Lions Club. At that time they decided to raise money by selling light bulbs, brooms, and fruitcakes.
Today, some 50 plus years later, The Waynesville Lions Club continues in it's dedicated service to the Waynesville community. Be sure to check out our fundraiser and projects links to the left to see what we're up to.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6:30 P.M. at the Quaker Friends Social Room (The Red Brick).
After dinner and a short business meeting we frequently have guest speakers addressing topics of interest to our community.
The Waynesville Lions Made their presence felt at the District 13H convention. Our Club, and especially Lion Denise Richmond, received several awards for bringing in new members!

Our club has a positive impact on the Waynesville community in MANY ways. Help us spread the word by asking as many people as you can to check us out on Facebook and this page. Of course, you can always ask us about how YOU can get involved in making wonderful stories like this happen!!
Along with the Waynesville PTO, the Waynesville Lions Club was able to provide a Rifton Activity Chair to the Wayne Local School District. The Elementary School currently has a Kindergarten child that is in need of a chair with motion built into it. With this chair, the student can effectively "bounce" safely to calm his activity needs, allowing him to focus his attention on the classroom task.
