Boston Pizza Celebrity Server Night

What better way to celebrate our very first anniversary with the very first fund raising event of the Club! It’s the Angus Glen Lions Club - Boston Pizza Celebrity Server Night Event, held at the Boston Pizza on 2910 Major Mackenzie Drive East, Markham, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, 6 pm to 10 pm.

This event involved Angus Glen Lions Club(AGLC) members volunteering as servers for the evening, and Boston Pizza donating 10% of all food sales to AGLC. We were all very excited to invite families, friends and supporters to come out for some food and fun, and all for the good cause of the community.

Guests - from age “Baby” – Lion Anny and her family…

All Prizes were donated by Lion Eddy.   There were a total of 8 prizes; those winners who had left before the draw would be contacted at a later date – so even ‘walk-in’ guests bought tickets with us – a win-win for all!

And to turn it up a notch, Lion Charles celebrated his birthday at the Event with literally everybody in the restaurant! Happy Birthday Lion Charles, Roar! Roar!

Club Uniform

Our very first Club Uniform was born, just in time, to greet the world!  Thanks to Lion Gloria’s hard work + AGLC members modeling!

The Event was an instant success – the restaurant was running almost full house with approximately 200 guests. More importantly, everyone – guests, restaurant staff and owner, and AGLC Lions all had a fun and meaningful evening together!  In appreciation for our guests’ support, the Fund Raising Team put together loot bags of goodies for everyone – such was the thoughtfulness in the planning!
Thanks to our Fund Raising Team for all the preparation, to Project Lead Lion Gloria for all the coordination and organization, and to all AGLC Lions for participation and support, and …
