Whenever the Denton Lions Club meets, problems get smaller, and our community gets better! Why? Because we help where help is needed with intense energy and unquestioned integrity.

Wherever we work, we make friends! It can be with children whose eyesight needs to be tested, or with people who need glasses, or with graduates who need some financial assistance, or with young people who need a place to play baseball.

For over 65 years, the Denton Lions Club has delivered the following impactful services to needy persons in our community:

• Eye exams for those who cannot afford them
• Eye glasses for those who qualify for financial assistance
• Funds for sight research
• Sponsorship of a Little League baseball team
• A place for Little Leaguers to play baseball
• Sponsorship of youngsters who have attended Girls & Boys State
• Scholarship awards to local graduates
• Assistance with the projects of other local agencies and non-profits
• Financial assistance to cancer research, mental health programs, hospice services, the fire company, scouting, the school for the blind, handicapped children, child safety efforts, local poverty programs, and more.
