Our partners at the Rumford Lions Club maintain collection points in East Providence for the donation of used eyeglasses. After collection, the glasses are cleaned and forwarded to sight missions worldwide where they are distributed free of charge to recipients. The collection point locations are:

Grove Avenue (main post office) - yellow mail box on the left side of the driveway/parking lot.

North Broadway post office (Rumford) - yellow mail box on right side of post office approximately 250 ft from the building.

Willett Avenue post office (Riverside) - yellow mail box on right side of parking lot.

Please note that all of the boxes are painted yellow (do not use the blue mailboxes) and located on the street side on the sidewalks. Any US mail deposited in the yellow boxes will not be delivered or postmarked.
